Crease Theory is a lacrosse website built for people who take the sport seriously. We cover all levels of lacrosse with analysis, opinion, and reporting from people who have spent real time inside the game.
The Team
We are a group of 10 contributors. The staff is made up of former Division I, II and III lacrosse coaches along with a few professional journalists. That mix matters. The coaches bring the perspective of people who have built rosters, run game plans, and lived inside locker rooms. The journalists bring the discipline of reporting, sourcing, and writing for an audience that knows the sport.
Every idea, take, and piece of analysis on this site is ours. The opinions are ours. The arguments are ours. The reporting is ours.
Use of AI
We use AI the same way a writer uses a notebook or a coach uses film. It helps us research, organize information, and pressure test ideas. It does not replace having an opinion, following the sport, or understanding the landscape.
If the argument stands up, it stands up. That standard does not change because of the tools used to sharpen it.
